Am I the only one that thinks it's weird that Liz Hurly announced her separation on Twitter?

Apparently Liz Hurley and hubby, Arun Nayar split up a few months ago..This info was secret until Liz was spotted kissing another man.. Then she took to Twitter to announce her separation... I find that to be tacky..
