GFJ (346) I am never leaving LaLa in charge of my quiche ever again....

Yesterday morning I woke up and was chatting with Crys who asked if I'd make my Roasted Butternut Squash quiche. I said I would if she promised to go to the gym with me and make me do ab work (she makes doing 200 crunches as easy as eating a pint of Chubby Hubby).

So, I roasted the butternut squash with a red onion and loads of crushed garlic and piled it into the pre-made crust (from Wholefoods) and tossed in some fromage and the egg and went to the gym...

As I was on the elliptical, I received a group BBM message from LaLa saying she forgot about the quiche and she burned it... At first, I thought she was joking, especially since she wouldn't send a picture... Then, when I hit the stairs of our apartment I smelled burnt quiche... I was so effing sad....

BREAKFAST: Half of a protein bar.
LUNCH: Homemade Spinach Dip (Crys had made it a few weeks ago and froze it), Burned Quiche with Salad and Jalapeno Chicken Sausage from Trader Joe's.

Roasted Veggies....I like when they burn a little bit...

I put French Goat Cheese and Boursin... AGRRO!

My sad burnt quiche.....
DINNER: 6th Street Kitchen with Soft Hands, Crys and LaLa. If you are looking for a delicious well priced meal in the East Village, you need to hit up 6th Street Kitchen. I'm not sure why, but it was dead empty yesterday. If everyone knew how good that place was, there would be a cue out the door every night.. SERIOUSLY!

As none of us had been there before we decided to share a bunch of plates (they are quite small)... Delicious.
6th Street Kitchen - Goat Cheese Croquette, Greens, Asian Pear, Sherry Vinaigrette

Chili Mango Baby Back Ribs, Black Bean, Cilantro, Pickled Onion

Farro Risotto, Mushrooms, Cippolini, Goat Cheese

These were some special tacos.. They had ground beef and I think manchego... oh and were garnished with French raddishes.

Fries with truffle and parmesan.

Chorizo Manchego sliders, aioli, potato roll....

Apple Crisp with fresh cream.
