Every Marathon Sunday I do two things:
1. Wake up cozy in my bed and turn on the marathon and think to myself, "I'm so happy to be a chunky ball, surrounded by Scandinavian down rather than one of those physically fit people, freezing for the marathon.
2. I go to Melon's for a Bloody Bull and a Burger.
Originally, Marathon Sunday was supposed to play out differently for me. I was meant to be at The Truth and Nine's house in Upstate New York. After explaining something to The Truth, I received a presidential pardon and ended up being in the city for the marathon.
Having spent the majority of Saturday lounging around (I left my apt once.....GDubbs forced me to leave by taking me to see The Town.....) I woke up Sunday morning bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, excited to make the trek to Bullanah's apartment. As I got on the 4 train, I realized I haven't been above 75th street since 'Nam. So much has changed. For instance, did you know there is a Shake Shack on 86th street?
Anyhoot, I spent my Marathon Sunday, on the Upper Easy and DID NOT SEE ONE RUNNER IN TRUE LIFE... Instead, I sat at Bullanah's apartment, GOSSIPING MY FACE OFF (I woke up this morning feeling quite guilty about this) avec Mrs Scobu, Maurice, GI Joe, CHS, Nacho and basically anyone who had an amazing UES tidbit for me. I didn't even make it to Melon's... I did however make it to the bar and back downtown after a good eight hours of drinking... Some things never get old.. (despite the fact that they probably should.)

Saturday didn't happen, as far as I'm concerned.
Marathon Sunday....
BRUNCH: Half of a salt H&H bagel.
SNACK: Half of a Luke's Lobster roll
DINNER: Some carne taco from this taco place on 4th between 13th and 14th.. I have NO IDEA what the place was called but there is always a line so I was dead excited to try their taco... BIGGEST BUST OF 2010... So not good. I should have just walked my fat arse over to the Luke's on 7th for another roll.
