This weekend I had actually had sh*t to do. However, NYC's Summer Streets seriously got in my way. Yea, it's nice that they shut down the streets so people can bike, run, walk freely... but what about those of us that are lugging crap around and need a cab? Do I look like I have time for this horsesh*t?Friday: Today was a reminder of why I should'nt drink. I was a complete puddle all day. I had so much sh*t to do and no desire to do it....
BREAKFAST: Fage with Strawberry
LUNCH: Mexican Radio Nachos
DINNER: Nothing

Saturday was Summer Streets day in NYC. As I said earlier, this really put a wrench in things for me.. Not as badly as the Time Warner Cable guy did. We had an appointment scheduled between 11-2pm. He didn't show up until 2:15pm.. And then we had to stare at his plumbers butt for 2.5 hours as he set-up our cable.. FAIL..
On the flip side, I did have an amazingly boozie dinner with Kelly, Dennis and CCM at Blue Smoke. If you need a restaurant that is kid friendly and good for adults, go to Blue Smoke. 3yo CCM couldn't have been more entertained. He may have had more fun at dinner than at Times Square (where we went to after we had three Blood Orange Margaritas running throuhg our bodies...).
Oh, before I forget.. CCM totally charmed our cab driver. After our ride from Blue Smoke to Times Square our cab driver opened his door and gave CCM $1. Have you ever heard of anything so sweet?

Sunday -Yesterday, after four hours of sleep, I met LaLa on Pier 11 so we could catch the ferry to Ikea in Brooklyn. The ferry was filled with Hasidic Jews and their large families, Asians taking pictures of each other and LaLa and me. Not gonna lie, I wanted to slit my wrists at first... but then the large ice-coffee with a shot of espresso and soy milk kicked in and I was good to go (wait, did I mention that I also started the morning with a sugarfree Redbull?)
Anyhoot.. after 2.5 hours at Ikea and picking out all the knickknacks we want, we learned they were sold out of everything on our list.. BIGGEST BUST OF AUGUST! Actually, the biggest bust would actually be we AREN'T IN OUR APARTMENT yet.. This should be remedied this week..
BREAKFAST: Croissant and coffee from Starbucks
LUNCH: Shanghai Cafe with LaLa.. I had some Sticky Rice in Bamboo Leaf, Broccoli in Garlic Sauce and their famous Steamed Soup Pork Buns.
DINNER: Delicatessen avec CCM and Kelly... It was dead sticky out and I was so tired from the night before slash Ikea that I was totes a buzz kill...
