Bike Riders + Bong = Hot Mess

This morning, my cab pulled over to drop me off. When I opened the door, I clipped a bike rider who was apparently trying to squeeze her way between the cab and the curb. I FELT SO BADLY and jumped out of the cab and helped the lady collect her things and make sure she was okay. She said she was fine and then went off on a rant about bike rider safety and being conscientious, etc, etc.

I was like a deer in headlights, I was so scared of her. All I could say was, "I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry." She would not let up so I finally said, "I'm sorry but, I have to go to work." As I scampering away, she was still yelling at me. Once I was a safe distance away from her I thought to myself, "I didn't even give her my info. What if something is wrong with her or her bike?" I feel awful about the whole thing.

Luckily I rang Kelly afterwards and she told me that while I was at fault, bike riders should also be aware of their surroundings and that this woman sounded like one of those crazed bikers who think they own the streets.

UGH!!!!
