Why does Scott keep on carrying Kourtney everywhere?

Okay, so the cobblestone streets in the Meatpacking district are a major PITA (pain in the arse) for ferocious shoes like the ones she's rocking but people do it EVERYDAY... If one of the Bridge & Tunnel peeps can maneuver those cobblestones during a drunken Saturday night, Kourtney should be able to handle it sober and during the day.
